We’re almost done with the first month of the last quarter of 2019! How has your year been so far? But whatever it is that you’ve been through or you’ve accomplished, we ‘re going to forget about it today as we talk about preparing your home for 2020!
If you’re following our blog, you can see here that we love sharing trends in the plumbing industry, especially those that you can apply in your own home. Since the year 2019 is closing soon, we’ll give you a sneak peek to the kitchen and bathroom fixture and design trends for the coming year.
So sit back and check later on where to buy these advisable upgrades that we’ll share with you today.
That Vintage Look
Gold and brass are making a comeback! Pave the way for the classy and timeless vintage look in bathroom and kitchen design, that emphasizes on brass and golden colours.
Our advice: Pick marble or any light coloured material for your kitchen countertops and bathroom vanity tops. Then embed golden and brass plumbing fixtures like the slide bar bracket, the rain shower, and all the plumbing wires, pipes, and tubes connected to the tub. Best if you can choose white or light coloured wall tiles for the shower area so the flashy pipes will be emphasized. It’s also time to replace your boring and plain shower screen lining or frames to give it a vintage golden touch. You can hire replacement of shower screen pros to do this for you rather than getting the help of just a regular handyman.
Industrial Look
You may have seen the rugged industrial look in many showrooms and interior design websites for the past few years. It was around 2017 when this type of interior design became a trend and it continued to be so until last year. This 2019, we noticed that it has not been prevalent in the world of interior design, but hey! This coming 2020, the industrial look is having a major comeback and we’re not even surprised.
If you have not tried incorporating it to your home ever, try it out at least in your kitchen or bathroom. It’s very easy to do after all. Start by replacing your kitchen faucet with the rugged brass type with big mason-type handles. You can also replace your bathroom sink with the white enamelled steel style and black lining.
Our advice: Match the black lining of your bathroom sink with black plumbing pipes that are connected to the sink. The rugged kitchen faucet, on the other hand, works best with brick-coloured tiles or anything grey, dark and matte.
Country-Style Features
If you’re more into the lighter, softer, and minimalist side of home interior design, the country-style look might fit you best. Turn into this timeless and homey design by having black or grey marble countertops installed in your kitchen and kitchen island. Then add off white wooden cabinets all around them.
Our advice: This kitchen interior design can make your home look bigger. White and light are some of the paint colours that can expand your home. A stone-type sink is perfect for this look. What we love about the stone-type sink is that it is heat resistant, classy, and scratch-resistant too!
